AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar exists to create a space where people can learn, build, ask questions, share ideas, and meet others without feeling unsafe, excluded, or unwelcome.

We believe technical communities work best when people can participate without fear of harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruption.

This Code of Conduct establishes the standards we expect from everyone participating in AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar 2026 and its related activities.

We are committed to maintaining an environment that is welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and safe for everyone.

Everyone participating in the event is expected to behave in a way that supports a safe and productive community.

• →Behave respectfully toward attendees, speakers, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, partners, university representatives, vendors, and staff.
• →Provide accurate and truthful information during registration, check-in, authentication, and event participation.
• →Follow instructions provided by event organizers, moderators, volunteers, venue staff, and security personnel.
• →Respect the ability of others to participate in sessions, workshops, discussions, and activities without unnecessary disruption.
• →Use event credentials, badges, accounts, and access permissions only as intended and only by the person to whom they were issued.
• →Follow all applicable laws, venue requirements, safety requirements, and event-specific rules.
• →Respect personal boundaries and obtain appropriate consent before engaging in conduct that could reasonably be considered intrusive.
• →Help create an environment where questions, mistakes, disagreement, and learning are treated constructively.

Harassing, offensive, discriminatory, threatening, or intimidating speech or behavior is not acceptable at AWS Student Community Day.

This includes conduct based on characteristics including, but not limited to, race, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

We also consider behavior outside these examples when it has the effect of making another participant feel threatened, harassed, excluded, or unsafe.

Attendees may photograph and record public sessions and event activities, and may upload that content to their own platforms, subject to applicable law and the rules below.

Speakers may request reasonable restrictions on recording specific sessions or portions of their presentations.

Attendees should be respectful when photographing or recording other participants and should follow any reasonable request regarding personal boundaries.

Unauthorized sales, recruitment, advertising, solicitation, promotion, or distribution of commercial materials is not permitted at the event.

Sponsors and officially authorized partners may conduct approved promotional, recruitment, exhibition, or engagement activities after receiving explicit permission from the event organizers.

This requirement applies equally to organizations associated with the host university, venue, auditorium, or other event partners. Being affiliated with the venue or host institution does not automatically authorize commercial activity.

Any attendee or organization wishing to conduct promotional activity should obtain authorization from the organizing team before doing so.

This Code of Conduct applies beyond the physical event where the behavior is connected to AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar or its official community spaces.

This includes, where applicable:

Online harassment, targeted abuse, threats, doxxing, impersonation, malicious content, or deliberate disruption may be treated as a violation of this Code of Conduct.

Participants must not interfere with the operation or security of the event website, registration platform, network, devices, authentication systems, or other event infrastructure.

• →Do not attempt to access another attendee's account.
• →Do not bypass authentication or authorization controls.
• →Do not introduce malware or malicious code.
• →Do not intentionally overload or disrupt event systems.
• →Do not exploit security vulnerabilities for personal gain or disruption.
• →Do not collect or misuse attendee information without authorization.
• →Report security concerns responsibly to the organizing team.

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as reasonably possible.

These reporting contacts are intentionally directed to senior members of the organizing structure because conduct and safety concerns may require escalation beyond the immediate event volunteer team.

Reports will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. Information may be shared with people who need it to review, investigate, respond to, or resolve the matter.

If there is an immediate threat to someone's physical safety, do not wait for an email response.

Where appropriate, serious safety incidents may also be escalated to university administration, emergency services, or law enforcement.

Retaliation against someone who makes a good-faith report, participates in an investigation, or supports another participant reporting an incident is not permitted.

Concerns about possible retaliation should be reported through the same conduct reporting channels.

This protection does not prevent organizers from taking appropriate action where a report itself is knowingly false, malicious, or submitted in bad faith.

Reports may be reviewed by designated members of the organizing team, relevant university representatives, or other appropriate parties depending on the nature and seriousness of the concern.

Individuals involved in a report may be contacted for additional information where necessary.

We may consider available evidence, witness accounts, event records, digital communications, and other relevant information when determining an appropriate response.

We do not guarantee a particular investigation timeline or outcome. Information may be limited where confidentiality, safety, privacy, or legal requirements require it.

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in action appropriate to the nature and severity of the conduct.

Serious violations may result in immediate removal without a prior warning.

Where an attendee is removed from the event because of a Code of Conduct violation, the attendee will not be entitled to a refund for their registration.

Where an incident involves a student of Lovely Professional University, serious or repeated misconduct may be referred to the appropriate university administration.

Such conduct may result in action under applicable university policies, including a minor or major indiscipline case where appropriate.

The organizing team may also cooperate with university authorities when necessary to address serious safety, disciplinary, or legal concerns.

Reports made in good faith will not result in negative action simply because the reported conduct cannot be substantiated.

However, knowingly submitting a false, malicious, fabricated, or deliberately misleading report may itself constitute a violation of this Code of Conduct.

Depending on the circumstances, bad-faith reporting may result in account suspension or termination, cancellation of registration, and loss of refund eligibility.

AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar is part of the broader AWS community ecosystem and incorporates the principles of the official AWS Code of Conduct.

Participants are expected to comply with the applicable AWS Code of Conduct in addition to the event-specific requirements contained on this page.

Where the AWS Code of Conduct and this event-specific Code provide additional requirements, participants are expected to follow both where applicable.
