04

Refund Processing

Once a valid refund request has been submitted, the organizing team will process the refund within 72 hours of receiving the request.

OUR PROCESSING TIME

≤ 72 HOURS

The refund will be initiated by the organizing team within 72 hours after the eligible request is received.

After the refund has been initiated, the time required for the amount to appear in your account depends on Razorpay, the payment method, your bank, card issuer, or other relevant financial institution.

The organizers cannot guarantee the exact time required for the refunded amount to become available after the refund has been initiated.

06

Event Cancellation

If AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar 2026 is cancelled by the organizers, eligible paid attendees will be entitled to a 100% refund of the ticket price, subject to the applicable payment-provider fee treatment described in this policy.

Refund requests arising from organizer cancellation may be initiated through the attendee dashboard.

The organizers will communicate the applicable refund process and timeline through official event communication channels.

07

Event Postponement

If the event is postponed to a different date, attendees may request a refund through their dashboard.

An attendee who no longer wishes to attend the rescheduled event may request a refund under the applicable refund process.

The refund eligibility created by an organizer-initiated postponement is not restricted by the ordinary 72-hour cancellation deadline.

08

Significant Event Changes

If the organizers make a significant change to the event, including a material change to the venue, attendees may request a full refund through the attendee dashboard.

A venue change is considered eligible for this refund provision regardless of whether the new venue is within the same general locality.

Ordinary changes to individual speakers, sessions, schedules, or activities do not automatically create a refund entitlement.

09

Late Cancellation

The ordinary refund deadline is strict:

72 HOURS BEFORE
EVENT START

Requests submitted after this point are not ordinarily eligible for a refund.

For example, a request submitted 70 hours before the event does not qualify under the standard cancellation policy.

10

Emergency Exceptions

Limited exceptions to the 72-hour deadline may be considered only in serious circumstances involving:

01

MEDICAL EMERGENCY

02

DEATH IN FAMILY

Supporting documentation may be required. Any documentation provided may be verified by the organizing team before an exception is approved.

Emergency exceptions are not automatic and remain subject to verification and approval by the organizers.

11

No-Show & Non-Participation

Failure to attend the event does not create a refund entitlement.

Didn't attend the event
Left the event early
Missed a session
Didn't participate in a workshop
Didn't collect event merchandise
Didn't qualify for a digital badge

Refunds are based on the applicable cancellation and event-change rules, not on the extent of an attendee's participation.

12

No Partial Refunds

We do not provide partial refunds based on an attendee's level of participation in the event.

For example, attending only part of the event, missing a session, missing a workshop, or choosing not to participate in an activity does not create a right to a partial refund.

13

Duplicate Payments

If the same attendee is charged more than once for the same registration due to a duplicate payment, the additional verified payment may be eligible for a full refund.

Duplicate payment claims may be verified against transaction records before a refund is initiated.

Duplicate-payment refunds are separate from ordinary attendee cancellation requests and are not subject to the standard cancellation deadline.

14

Failed Payments

If a payment fails but your bank account, card, or payment method is nevertheless debited, the transaction should first be investigated through the relevant payment provider or financial institution.

For failed or pending transactions, please contact Razorpay or your bank/payment provider directly for transaction-status and settlement assistance.

The organizing team does not control the settlement process for failed payment transactions.

15

Fraud & Payment Abuse

We reserve the right to review transactions and registrations where we reasonably suspect fraud, payment abuse, identity misrepresentation, unauthorized use of a payment method, or other suspicious activity.

A refund may be delayed while a transaction is being reviewed.

Registrations associated with confirmed fraudulent or abusive activity may be cancelled and may not be eligible for a refund, subject to applicable law.

16

Chargebacks & Disputes

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, we encourage you to contact the organizing team through the available refund process before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.

This allows us to investigate and resolve legitimate refund requests directly and efficiently.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable payment-network rules or law.

17

Conduct & Refunds

Attendees removed from AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar because of a violation of the Code of Conduct, are not eligible for a refund.

The same restriction may apply where registration or account access is terminated because of fraud, ticket misuse, impersonation, unauthorized transfer attempts, or other serious violations of the event Terms or Code of Conduct.

Knowingly submitting malicious or deliberately false conduct reports that result in account action may also result in loss of refund eligibility.

18

Refunds Are Non-Transferable

Refunds are issued only to the person and original payment method associated with the eligible registration.

Event registrations and their associated refund rights cannot be sold, assigned, transferred, or redirected to another attendee.

19

Questions & Support

If you have a question about an eligible refund request, please use the refund functionality available in your attendee dashboard.

For payment failures or transactions that were debited despite a failed payment, contact Razorpay or your bank/payment provider directly.

For general privacy-related questions, please contact privacy@awslpu.in.
