AWS Student Community Day

OUR STORY

IT STARTED
WITH A
COMMUNITY.

Every community has a story.
Ours began with a simple decision: to build something bigger than ourselves.

Read Our Journey

AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar was not created overnight. It was built through years of learning, friendships, leadership, countless late-night planning sessions, and one shared belief- that students can build world-class communities.

CHAPTER 01

Every
journey
begins
somewhere.

In 2023, a first-year student walked into an AWS Cloud Club session at Lovely Professional University without realizing it would become one of the most meaningful experiences of university life.

What started as curiosity quickly turned into a community. Every workshop, every meetup, every late evening discussing cloud computing introduced new friendships, mentors, and opportunities. The AWS Student Builder Group (formerly known as AWS Cloud Club) wasn't just another student organization-it felt like a place where everyone genuinely wanted to help each other grow.

"It never felt like a club.
It felt like a family."

That sense of belonging eventually inspired a much bigger dream: building something that could bring together students, developers, professionals, and builders from across the region under one roof.

TIMELINE

Every milestone
tells a story.

2023

The Beginning

A first-year student joined the AWS Cloud Club at Lovely Professional University. What started as curiosity quickly became a place to learn, build, and grow with an amazing community.

2024

The Dream

That's when we first discovered AWS Student Community Day. It felt like the biggest stage a student community could ever dream of hosting.

"We don't have the manpower or the experience to host something this big."

2025

Changing the Narrative

Instead of accepting 'not yet' as the final answer, a new journey began. The team expanded, new volunteers joined, community partnerships opened, speakers were invited, and planning started months in advance.

2025

Making History

Months of planning, countless meetings, late-night calls, and an incredible team made the impossible possible. AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar 2025 became the first AWS Student Community Day ever organized in the state of Punjab.

2026

The Next Chapter

The story continues. Bigger ambitions. A stronger community. More opportunities for students to learn, connect, and inspire the next generation of cloud builders.

CHAPTER 04

THEY SAID
WE WEREN'T
READY.

Back then, hosting an AWS Student Community Day felt impossible. We hadn't organized a hackathon. We didn't have a large team. We lacked the experience that such an event demanded.

01

We Built
A Team.

Volunteers joined from different backgrounds. Designers, developers, organizers, photographers, and community leaders came together with one shared goal.

02

We Built
A Community.

We reached out to speakers, opened community partnerships, collaborated with organizations, and created opportunities for students far beyond our own campus.

03

We Made
History.

Months of planning, countless late-night calls, endless meetings, and unwavering determination culminated in the successful organization of the first AWS Student Community Day ever hosted in the state of Punjab.

SOME DREAMS
ARE WORTH
BUILDING.

CHAPTER 05

THIS WAS
NEVER JUST
ABOUT AN
EVENT.

It was about proving that students can build world-class communities, create meaningful opportunities, and inspire thousands of others to begin their own journey in cloud computing.

AWS Student Community Day Jalandhar is more than a conference. It represents years of learning, collaboration, leadership, and the belief that extraordinary things happen when students decide to build together.

AND WE'RE
JUST GETTING
STARTED.
